My First Thoughts

Well, this is my first presidential blog post.  Actually, I believe this is my first personal blog post ever.  I never really thought about starting a blog before, but I've had some thoughts about our little school East Linn, and I was thinking this might be the best way to get it out.  So this is what has been on my mind.

First of all, I think all East Linn students need to know that their ASB is working really really hard for them.  Yes, we don't just enjoy working until we just can't stand it anymore, for no reason.  We like making other people happy.  We put events like Masquerade together so students can have fun. "Who knew, you mean, the events aren't suppose to be something you feel obligated to go to." You know, these high school events are once in a life time thing.  One day you'll be out of high school.  I think, if you think Masquerade is going to be dumb, make it a point to enjoy it and have fun with other people.  I think its going to be, well as Simon would say, pretty "rock'n'roll."

Secondly, I really feel like East Linn has a problem. And this is it:
The ones who hate being at East Linn, yes there are some people like that, are being a negative influence on other people.  They aren't just keeping it to themselves, they are telling other people things like, "I hate chapel" and "this is so dumb" and "if only we could go to LHS." If you don't like East Linn, keep it to yourself please.  And especially don't target the weak people.  Obviously, if you tell me, I'm going to shrug it off.  But if you're telling the new transfer student or the freshmen (sorry freshmen, its just that freshmen are easily influenced), then that's really not helpful.  Our school needs to work together.  Build each other up.  Its biblical and it's definitely healthy.  So, if you're reading this, just take note, watch what you say...even if you don't have a negative attitude...because it could be affecting someone else.

Hm.  I am very satisfied with accomplishing my first blog post!
